Requirements for the FDL final submission:

  • All steps are mandatory to approve your paper in the final FDL 2013 conference program
  • You can use this list as a check list, the list is in chronological order of actions



Paper Submission Deadline: May 12, 2013 May 22, 2013 (extended)
1. Submission Requirements:

Please submit your paper via EasyChair:

Regular papers (6-8 pages, double column, IEEE format) should provide comprehensive details on innovative and complete research or applicative work with evidence of experimental results. Regular papers may also include proposals for standardization.

Authors are encouraged to outline work in progress, industrial case studies, or user experiences as short papers (2-4 pages, double column, IEEE format).

Submitted papers should be anonymous, are required to describe original unpublished work and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The conference proceedings will be published in electronic form with an ISSN and ISBN number and made available on the ECSI website and submitted for inclusion into the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

Please note that an ECSI account is not required for paper submission. The paper submission is handled through EasyChair. Questions, please contact office [at] ecsi [dot] org.



Full Final Paper Submission Deadline: July 26, 2013
2. IEEE Xplore: Final camera-ready manuscripts must be confirmed IEEE Xplore compatible by IEEE PDF eXpress Plus (Conference ID: FDL13xp). Guidelines can be found at:
3. Approval: Forward your IEEE PDF eXpress Plus approval confirmation email to office [at] ecsi [dot] org.
4. Resubmit: Resubmit your IEEE Xplore compatible paper to:

Paper title, list of ALL authors in correct order together with their affiliations, and the abstract text must be entered in the online form exactly as they appear on the paper itself. Make sure to provide appropriate paper topic category and valid contact information for the primary author.



Copyright form submission deadline: July 26, 2013
5. ECSI Copyright: Download the form (PDF or Word), sign it and send it back to office [at] ecsi [dot] org or fax to +33 4 30 65 04 12.

Only 1 author signature is required.

  Author Regulations:
Accepted paper presentation and conference participation must satisfy the following requirements without exceptions:
  • the work is to be presented at the conference by one of the authors or by a qualified surrogate,
  • the presenter has registered for the full 3-day conference (discount rates may apply if applicable), and
  • a single registration covers no more than one paper.



Presentation Slides Submission Deadline: September 13, 2013
7. Presenters:

Please, submit your PDF or PowerPoint presentation to office [at] ecsi [dot] org.

Presentation slides and papers will be made available in PDF format on the ECSI website to ECSI Members and Conference attendees after the conference. A USB stick with the full proceedings and presentations slides will also be distributed to the attendees at the FDL conference. 



Presenter Biography Submission Deadline: September 13, 2013
8. Biography:

Please, submit a short bio in text format to office [at] ecsi [dot] org.

The biography is used to introduce the presenter at the conference. It is important that we receive this by the deadline to guarantee that your session runs smoothly.
